#OnThisDay 31st January 2004, let us remember Sapper Robert Thomson, aged 22 from Whitburn, West Lothian, and of The Royal Engineers. Robert died in a horrific and tragic accident at Basra Palace, Iraq. Robert was an ardent Motherwell fan who gave his all for Queen and Country 🏴
