Had the opportunity to talk to high school students about genetics and identity. Zooming out and giving a brief overview of the field of complex trait genetics made me appreciate the cool work that we do even more. Thanks to the students for their attention, I hope they liked it.

First presentation of my PhD! Got to present my work on evolutionary psychiatric genetics to a mixed group of geneticists and evolutionary psychologists. I learned a lot from both sides and will apply that knowledge to make the project more robust. Thanks for an amazing time!

@JoellePasman @ShaiCarmi It made me think of this paper by @euffelmann discussing the problems of doing GWAS on a PRS-derived phenotype, although. false positives might be less of an issue when comparing two sets of individuals with similar PRS but different phenotypes
