Cherokee Nation’s summer food program is open to all children — Native or non-Native — who live within the Cherokee Nation Reservation and are eligible for free or reduced lunches.

We are not a race. We are individual citizens of our respective Nations. I am a dual citizen of the US and Muscogee Nation. To refer to Native Peoples as a race is an attempt to diminish and strip us of our Sovereignty.
Some think that certain races shouldn’t have to pay taxes while other races do.

Please read this thread. Indigenous Peoples are not a race. We are individual citizens of our respective Nations. Classifying us as a race is a strategy to strip us of our Sovereignty. We are not a monolith. Each Nation has its own culture, language, gov’t, court system, etc.
With ICWA being debated in SCOTUS this November, I think it is important to understand three things about Indigenous people and adoption.
