Sega aren't pushing Classic Sonic as "cute" or "baby Sonic" He's always had a mixture of cute and coolness since the 90's and it's still been retained to this very day.

I never understood why they use Pixars Cars as reference for Sonics eyes instead of Mickey Mouse y'know the guy Sonics design/eyes are based off on. It's caused Sonic to look like he has one windshield eye when he actually has two eyes and Prime is like the worst case of it.
