As part of the Holocaust commemorative activities, it was a privilege to be alongside Ms. Efrat Baruch Altarac, author of the book Macedonian Sun, in presenting the profoundly moving story of her mother-in-law, Shella, a Holocaust survivor, at the Senate Hall of the Rectorate Building of the University of Prishtina today. The event was attended by esteemed professors, students, and academic and administrative staff, all of whom had the opportunity to interact with the author and purchase a copy of the book, which was published in Albanian just yesterday."

In a moving ceremony, together with @GermanAmbKOS we commemorated the 80th anniversary of #AuschwitzBirkenau liberation. #WeRemember #NeverAgain we honored the lives lost and the survivors of the Holocaust. May their memory guide us toward a future of peace. I am grateful to Ms. Efrat Altaraz, whose book Macedonian Sun was published in Albanian today, serving as a tribute to the brave individuals in Kosovo and elsewhere who saved Jewish lives while risking their own, in the darkest of times.
