I visited World Customs Organization and met Secretary General Saunders to sign documents for our cooperation.
🇯🇵 will support the Customs administrations of 🇦🇲, 🇦🇿, 🇬🇪, 🇰🇬, 🇰🇿, 🇹🇯, 🇹🇲, and 🇺🇿 through the @WCO_OMD to prevent illicit trafficking of small arms and light weapons. 📸: World Custom Organization

Welcomed Mr. Monji, former Ambassador to UNESCO, etc. and a famous Sake samurai for a special lecture and tasting of Japanese sake. Sake-making was successfully registered on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in December last year!

My deep condolences on the passing away of President Jimmy Carter. I once met him in 1997 when I accompanied our former PM Miyazawa to the Netherlands for Interaction Council (OB Summit). I appreciate his longtime contribution to the world.
