FAKE ANIMAL PROP. I seemed to have in my career, moved from SFX prosthetic makeups into making dead animal props. From niche to another 😅. I was hired to make this fake dead fox for Season 3 of Brassic for Sky. And there's my name in the credits 🖤 Sadly it was binned after.

One of my more odd jobs was to make a full cat costume for an Ad agency for a Mattress company. The cat performer would be having to jump on a trampoline and do stunts. I also had to copy/match and actual cat they had booked.

8 years ago I had to make two large evil mutant rat puppets for filming. One was a full body with back legs and a tail, one was just the front half. I sculpted, moulded, ran, painted and hair punched/sewed/laid fur onto these. I thought these were quite cute in the end 🤣

An oldie!. Think 3-4 years ago now. My style has changed a lot since then, I can see it changing this year too. I do love the colours on this piece. But I can see the massive change and leap in design/style. I do still make Cheshire cats, but they are a different design/base

Stages of a FAKE dead Fox prop. 1: the naked foam body with fabric to allow movement.2: Body furred minus the legs.3:Fur all done. Waiting to be shaved and airbrushed. Fur on the legs was hand laid to avoid losing movement. 4: Fur shaved and airbrushed. Completed!

Small anthropomorphic rat head with moving jaw. Also with lenses in the eye to allow for extra light and to extend the vision. The small heads will be the new size standard from now on.

Looting boxes in Baldurs Gate to find shiny new armour reminded me of the wolf feet and shin guards I made a while back. I love making armour pieces, sadly we don't get many requests for armour even though it is incredibly fun to build! . Gotta get those loots!

Just finished a piece I can't share publically till it airs, but it reminded me of a job I worked on back in 2012 in a prior workplace. I sculpted a Dalmatian prop for Emmerdale the TV soap. Along with fellow workshop colleagues this is how it turned out. #propmaker #sfx

FAKE PROP FOX. NOT REAL. Everytime I post something like this there's always someone who fails to read the caption. This fox is made from fake fur, foam. Not real. It was for a TV series in the UK called Brassic;(season 4). You can now watch it on Sky or NowTV I think.

For those who seem to like my unusual work. Here's a very old photo of me on the set of Emmerdale with Daisy the FAKE dog prop. Daisy was a stand in prop for the real dog as it kept looking at the camera. Pleased to say the dog in the ep didn't die. This was sculpted by me :)

@FoxKismet Apparently after filming they had put it in a bin bag in the propshop and left it in there for weeks. I think it was wet/dirtied down. And by the time they found it, it was gross. Sadly a lot of things that get built often get thrown away 😅.

@ratzhouse So all the animals have sculpted bodies that are moulded and made in prop foam. Then either faux fur or flocking is used :). Faux fur is a combo of hand laid, hair punched and sheet :).

@GoFurItstudios Yeah. The OG dog it was based on was called Daisy. But before filming she passed away. Her owner/trainer was on set that day and managed it was hard for us to put the prop on the floor in front of the owner 😥.

Did you know, years before I started The Forgotten Imp, I worked in a TV SFX place. And one of the things I made was a fake eyeball for BBC'S Sherlock. Yes Benedict Cumberbatch used that prop! Doctor Strange touched my eyeball 🤣

Did you know that we also sculpt masks and creatures alongside our furred creature heads. In fact there will be more sculpted projects next year. Don't worry I'll still do some furred pieces, but the priority will be sculpting. because I've missed it!

I've spent my weekends finding orphan Owlbears all over Faerun. Turns out their moms have been retired by either goblins or adventuring parties . one party had a paladin, druid and vampire in it. @NeilNewbon @Devilligan Luckily Neil asked them to join them in his party's camp.

#zevlor #zevlorcosplaydiary.I've done a rough paper pattern to work out the layers, and there's so many layers on Zevlor's tunic. Next stage is to make a rough cloth version for a fit test and make adjustments. Then I'll make a final fabric version to which I'll add scalemail.

FAKE prop hoof gloves :D.Sculpted on a lifecast of a human hand/arm. I think the final mould was 3 parts? (Was a while ago now 😅)Then run in silicone with stretchy fabric to back then to prevent tearing. Fake fur was glued/hand punched on after painting the silicone.

Caduceus next to his antler he found at Tatton Park. It's a Red deer antler that was hidden in the grass, shed naturally by the male deer. So no deers harmed. I'm hoping next year we find another one 🖤. They make for good reference and a good chew for the boy!

A year ago! I'm working on making wings like this scale (which are classed as large) into a detachable design for or care clients. At the moment due to shipping costs they're only really available for corporate/business clients within the UK. But I'll have the new design.
