We’re fighting for a $30/hour starting wage, 180 hours PTO, and union representation at Amazon’s biggest air hub, KCVG. Join or support at the link below!
AMAZON SILENCES IMMIGRANT WORKER ORGANIZING FOR TRANSLATION AND A UNION
Yesterday, on Prime Day we spoke out on the lack of translation for immigrant workers and took our petition of 600+ and counting workers calling for translation services at the KCVG Air Hub in Northern KY
Today Amazon managers are making us work in the snow. Our equipment is sliding around. One worker fell hard enough to be carried away in an ambulance. When we asked about putting down salt in certain areas to melt the snow, managers said they didn’t want to corrode the ramp (1/2)
We set up a union table in an off-work area today (totally legal). The General Manager, Sr. Ops Manager and head of Aviation Security threatened to fire us. We won’t back down to bullies. We’re taking the fight to Amazon HQ in Seattle this Sat at 11AM PST
@amazonlabor
UNION VICTORY: AMAZON WORKERS TAKE ACTION and are sent home with FULL PAY including Memorial Day time & 1/2 after discovering BED BUGS in one of our crew vans at Amazon KCVG.
We deserve a safe workplace and we’re going to fight for a union by taking collective action
Yesterday, we marched on our boss at Amazon’s KCVG air hub to demand an end to union busting.
We won’t be intimidated. We’re organizing for $30/hr starting pay, free on-site childcare, double pay for flex (overtime), professional translation, union representation & more.
Update:
@Amazon
tried to stop us but we’re still out front of the Ramp Building signing up coworkers for the union! Come by to sign a card and learn how you can help build the fight for $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO, union representation at all disciplinary meetings, and more!
@amazonlabor
Amazon sent an anti-union text blast out to every worker at KCVG yesterday because they’re terrified 😱 of us rallying this Saturday with our coworkers to launch our campaign and stand up for what we deserve.
Amazon claims we are an "outside third party". The truth we are your coworkers who are out here every day signing up our coworkers for $30/hr, 180 hours PTO, union reps at disciplinary meetings to end favoritism and retaliation at KCVG.
Support the cause:
@Amazon
’s managers tried to scare workers away from signing union cards at our launch rally today. They claimed our UNION tables were safety hazards, and they had “red vest” managers hanging around all day. That’s illegal intimidation, but we’re happy to report they failed.
Amazon's high-paid, out of town, "employee relations" specialists and Third Party union-busting consultants are spreading lies about
@amazonlabor
in closed door, "captive audience" meetings. We confronted them. Get the facts from us, your coworkers, NOT management.
#Unionstrong
We demand:
- Immediately stop operations with full pay until it's safe
- Propose clear guidelines for winter weather safety at next stand up meeting
- Rehire workers like Edward Clarke, who were fired by Amazon for standing up for safety and the union
We won’t let
@amazon
bully union organizers at the KCVG air hub in Northern KY. We’re on a plane right now heading to Seattle to join
@wrkrsstrikeback
and other supporters for a rally tomorrow at 11AM PST at Amazon’s corporate HQ. See you there!

SIGN NOW ✍️ Stand w/ the KCVG 11!
Last week, 11 KCVG workers were illegally written up for union activity.
WE DEMAND:
-IMMEDIATELY RESCIND the write-ups!
-STOP UNION BUSTING!
-End retaliation & favoritism! End ALL arbitrary & selective write-ups.
Amazon workers having a union table is a legally protected activity under the NLRB, but
@amazon
kept sending “red vest” managers and security over and over to intimidate workers away from signing union cards. Our union won’t bullied away–workers stood strong at KCVG
@amazonlabor
Edward Clarke, who was wrongly fired from KCVG for organizing for $30/hr & a union: “they cannot intimidate and bully us anymore. We are Amazon workers who have the right to organize for better wages, safety, and Paid Time Off. We are fighting for a union now”
#UnionizeAmazonKCVG
HAPPENING NOW:
Amazon workers are MARCHING on KCVG site director Jess Stewart to demand that Amazon rescind their illegal write-ups against pro-union workers.
We're putting Amazon on notice for their illegal union busting! Stay tuned.
Amazon Labor Union president Christian Smalls
@Shut_downAmazon
speaking to KCVG workers & community: “What we’re fighting for today is not just $30/hour, safety, and job security…we are fighting for our future.” ✊
#UnionizeAmazonKCVG
Management removed three of our Organizing Committee members from their positions as Learning Ambassadors (trainers). This is illegal retaliation against our union and it shows
@Amazon
doesn’t care about safety and proper trainings, they just want to isolate us from our coworkers
We’re Amazon workers that want to unionize the KCVG Air Hub. Our key demands are $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO, union reps at discipline mtgs and more.
We're going to need all the help we can get to take on one of the most powerful corporations in the world.
An injury to one is an injury to all. We’re forming a strong, democratic, fighting union. We won’t stand by and let Amazon bully our coworkers. We know that if we don't stand up to Amazon’s bullying tactics now, it will only get worse.
Full statement:
Amazon is ramping up their union busting campaign at KCVG
📝 Final writtens for 11 pro-union workers
✈️ Flying in dozens of highly paid “Employee Relations” Union Busters
❌ Anti-union captive audience meetings
📺 Posting anti-union propaganda on screens throughout the facility
HAPPENING NOW: Bedbug outbreak at KCVG in ramp crew van 463. Crew is in the HR office refusing to be sent home without full shift pay including holiday time & 1/2.
This has been an issue at KCVG for a year. Management has refused to take decisive action
Our Union Rally & Family Day event on 7/15 was such a success that
@amazon
management at KCVG felt pressured to host their own family day event yesterday 😂 🤡
Management says: "The union makes promises it can't keep"
Demands like $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO and union reps at disciplinary meetings to end favoritism and retaliation are NOT promises. They are goals that we democratically discussed and voted to fight for as a union.
#UnionStrong
Amazon made $30B in profits last year, and they still won’t put AC in the vans. 30 workers took action last week, won AC, and now they’re trying to fire our brother Marcio. We rallied at the ramp building because we’ve got his back!
#DontFireMarcio
Amazon is trying to fire Marcio Rodriguez for organizing coworkers to demand working A/C in their vans on the blacktop ramp in 90 degree weather. But we won't back down. Amazon has MORE than enough money to provide us this basic human right.
#DontFireMarcio
We're not going anywhere!
Management tried 16 times in 4 days to tell us to take down our tables, citing anything from safety to "egress".
These are excuses to stop us discussing our demands like $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO & union representation. We won’t bow to Amazon’s intimidation.
Thank you
@MorePerfectUS
for spreading the word! Amazon management is scared. They know that KCVG workers can win $30/hr, translation, and more. Their union busting is illegal & we’re not backing down. ✊
Today, Amazon management REFUSED to give coats to workers at the KCVG air hub, despite dangerous temperatures (a low of 27). 🌡️
Amazon puts profits over safety.
We need a union.
Our union is growing & Amazon is getting desperate to slow us down.
Yesterday Amazon fired Griffin Ritze, one of the earliest members of ALU-KCVG.
It won’t work. Griffin isn’t done fighting for $30 and neither are we.
STAND WITH GRIFFIN, FIGHT FOR $30
Amazon is hiring hundreds of “seasonal” workers at KCVG. A goal is to make new workers feel less secure in their jobs and divide permanent and seasonal workers. Don’t let Amazon use one section of workers to undermine another. An injury to one is an injury to all!
#UnionStrong
An injury to one is an injury to all
1. Wear red this week to show management we stand with Edward
2. Attend an upcoming meeting to discuss increasing the pressure
3. We're paying his regular income during his appeal. Pitch in here
Is $30/hr possible? Absolutely. Inflation is over 7% & rents have increased 32% in the tri-state. Corporate profits have gone up for decades while wages flatlined.
We’re fighting for $30/hr to afford gas, groceries & childcare.
Take the pledge:
Who are we? We are Amazon workers fighting for a $30/hr starting wage, 180 hours PTO and a UNION at the KCVG Amazon Air Hub. Amazon’s union-busting consultants are the real “third party”.
Take our union pledge at
#unionstrong
WE STAND w/
@ConnorSpence_
& JFK8 WORKERS!
Amazon illegally fired Connor, a union leader at JFK8, using illegal “off duty” policy as excuse.
We demand immediate reinstatement & we’re giving $518.82, 1 week pay, to his defense fund
#ReinstateConnorSpence
Amazon managers at KCVG have been intimidating and threatening workers well before their union launch last wknd. They didn't expect Kentucky workers to show up at HQ in Seattle w/
@wrkrsstrikeback
to demand $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO and a UNION
#UnionizeAmazonEverywhere
#UnionStrong
Solidarity from Coventry to Kentucky. Jeff Bezos makes his $$$ off the hard work of Amazon workers all around the world. Whether it’s £15/hr, or $30/hr an hour, we need to work together to win.
Come out to our union rally and family day TODAY! Info here:
Amazon spent $14 million on Third Party, union-busting consultants in 2022. They are at KCVG right now saying: "Amazon Labor Union is a third party business"
That's a lie. Get the facts from co-workers, NOT management.
#UnionStrong
#UnionizeAmazon
Over 1,000 Amazon workers signed our petition demanding translation for all languages spoken at KCVG + paid English classes. Instead of fixing the problem, Amazon did a U-Turn & began REFUSING to hire ESL immigrant workers.
This is blatant discrimination & we won’t stand for it!
“Amazon tried to intimidate us & keep us from having this rally. We’re not backing down. We’re fighting for $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO & union representation in disciplinary meetings. We need all workers at KCVG to stand up against Amazon’s lies about the union” -Griffin Ritze
🗳️ THIS ELECTION DAY, Amazon workers at KCVG vote on what Amazon should do w/ $10 BILLION in profits.
$30/hr? Free on-site childcare? Timely equipment repairs?
Or another super-yacht for Jeff Bezos?
VOTE TODAY - polls are open till 4:30 pm, 3rd floor garage of Sort Building!

@workersstrikeback
.
Pierce explains the stakes: "We're here not just to show the Amazon employees and the managers, but the whole world that the workers still have the power. It'll take all of us"
Yesterday, Amazon management came out SEVEN TIMES to harass workers for building our union. They don’t like that we’re gaining momentum & asking co-workers what Amazon should do w/ $10B in Q3 profits.
Call & email: HELP FIGHT AMAZON’S UNION BUSTING!! 👉
Rather than spend $ to give us raises, Amazon is flying out elite union busting lawyers & consultants. They are sent in to spread lies and misinformation about our union.
Management says: "If you unionize, you could get more, the same, or less in wages and benefits"
It's illegal and disgusting
@Amazon
leverages working people's real fears about college, healthcare, and retirement. Why would we vote for a contract with worse benefits than we have?
ILLEGAL RETALIATION @ AMAZON KCVG
This weekend, Amazon management gave final written warnings to 11 pro-union workers for participating in union tables.
Read the letter from our attorney. We will appeal, take action & won't back down. Work @ KCVG? Message us to help fight back.
KCVG workers won’t be intimidated. We are not apologetic about our demands for a $30/hr starting wage, 180 hrs Paid Time Off, union representatives at disciplinary meetings, good healthcare, stable retirement and more. We are moving forward with our union drive!
@amazonlabor
It's no coincidence that on the same day management started fear-mongering about unions, they also suddenly called off the first week of MET (forced overtime) starting on the 27th. If we
#UnionizeAmazon
, forced MET wouldn't happen in the first place because we'd have a contract

Not a KCVG worker? We need your help to fight Amazon’s lies and intimidation:
⏰ ONE DAY LEFT! Don't miss our launch rally, TOMORROW at 4pm at the ramp building parking lot! We're working to build a union by and for all workers here at KCVG, and it's going to take all of us to win it!
🚨🚨TRIAL UPDATE: Amazon is REFUSING to submit evidence to the NLRB & now filing a motion to postpone the ENTIRE trial over their illegal union busting.
They’re using their millionaire lawyers & deep pockets to try to avoid accountability for their lying, intimidation & spying.
Amazon management says our union table is an “egress” concern & blocks the walkway.
Our table doesn’t block anything.
Management’s tables DO block the walkway. But they don’t care about “egress”…they just don’t want us talking to coworkers about our fight for $30/hr & a union
The off-duty access policy the GM mentions was ruled by the NLRB to be an illegal intimidation tactic to prevent workers from discussing the union in non-work areas like break rooms and parking lots. Amazon will continue to break the law–only a strong movement can fight back!
We're in Seattle outside of Amazon HQ right now. Since our launch rally, Amazon managers have been intimidating and bullying our coworkers who are fighting for a $30/hr starting wage, 180 hours PTO and a UNION at KCVG. Tune in now!

Just outside Cincinnati, workers at Amazon’s largest air hub are fighting to organize a union.
KCVG workers have the right to organize. My message to management: stop the union busting tactics. We’re watching.

Workers voted on the guiding principles of our union and key questions including member dues, the right to recall elected leadership and financial transparency

Amazon workers at facilities like KCVG keep the company running, but we’re also human beings with families and lives. Our holidays are eaten up by mandatory overtime in peak season - with no pay incentive.
THANK YOU
@Ironworkers44
for backing our fight for $30/hr & a union at KCVG! Union ironworkers built KCVG. One even died doing it. Now they're helping us unionize w/ $6,000 to our union drive✊
In a union? Learn how you can get your union to support:
Our campaign for $30/hour, 180 hours PTO, and on-site childcare has taken off and Amazon is scared. They have hired dozens of “Employee Relations Principals” to patrol the floor at KCVG. In reality, many of them are anti-union lawyers that Amazon has hired to crush our union.
THANK YOU
@wrkrsstrikeback
members & all who donated. ✊
Workers Strike Back has collected 1000s of small donations to support our union drive over the last year through their National KCVG Weeks of Action.
🗓️Next one Dec 6-10!
Let’s win $30/hr & a union at Amazon!
Our official demands for Amazon Corporate.
● Raise starting wage to a min of $30/hr.
● Annual step raises match local cost of living increases.
● Eliminate wage caps.
● $2/hr more for Peak bonus and the return of double OT during Peak.
● Remove the paid time off cap
We’re holding a rally TOMORROW, SATURDAY 3/18 at 4PM in the RAMP BUILDING PARKING LOT (460 Day One Dr.) to take our union drive to the next level. We need ramp & sort workers across all shifts – to come out / get involved to show Amazon that we reject their lies and intimidation.
We handle 35% of Amazon's freight at KCVG, generating billions in revenue. Union workers at DHL just 6 miles away make $30/hr & top pay after 2 years at the DHL Air hub in Philadelphia is $35.51 hr.
We deserve a $30/hr starting wage.
Congratulations to DHL CVG workers on winning their union in a blowout victory with 67% of the vote! DHL workers have shown that massive logistics companies can be beaten, and that when we fight we can win.
There is no excuse for Amazon keeping workers on site as a transformer blew, setting off fire alarms during the tornado warning.
We are asking coworkers that have photos, video or other documentation to text it to our union hotline at 859-212-6896 or email kcvgworkers

This story says our struggle is "David vs Goliath". Here's how we defeat Goliath.
- Organizing our coworkers (take the union pledge today!)
- Sticking to clear demands like $30hr, 180 hrs PTO
- Mobilizing the wider community, unions etc, into the struggle
🚨 BREAKING UNION VICTORY: Amazon is now providing a translation app at KCVG, after we marched on the boss & gathered over 1,000 petition signatures demanding translation for all languages!
This is one example of what our union can win. What else can we win & what will it take?
DHL workers have been on strike for more than a week across the street from KCVG.
DHL has made over $4 billion in profits already this year. They can afford good raises, proper safety & equipment repairs.
We stand with
@DHLWrkrsUnited
. Support the strike.
Did you catch us on the news? “If you ask any given person in the facility, they either need a roommate or a second job.” DM us to get involved in the fight for $30/hr, 180 hours PTO, and representation in disciplinary meetings with the backing of a union.
WE DEMAND:
1. Translation for ALL work-related communication, written & verbal
2. Guaranteed interpretation at all disciplinary meetings, alongside union representation
3. Free, on-site ESL classes during work hours for workers who want to further their English proficiency.
On Friday, union members from the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky area joined us outside KCVG to demand that Amazon immediately rehire KCVG workers Edward Clarke and Alex White.
1/ Amazon KCVG Teamsters congratulate our co-workers at JFK8 on taking steps to unite Amazon workers under the Teamster banner. We must unite so that we can win $30/hour starting pay, safety at work, and benefits and rights for all workers enshrined in Teamster union contracts.
Amazon is SCARED of our momentum, plastering anti-union posters all-over KCVG to confuse & intimidate workers
❌ AMAZON CLAIMS: "Signing a union card could mean losing your voice"
✅ UNION TRUTH: Amazon is scared that when we stand together as a union, we have a powerful voice.
Next Saturday, July 15th, join us for a Union Rally & Family Day to celebrate our hard work this Prime! There’ll be bouncy castles, games, free food from around the world, and lots of opportunities to talk about how we can win $30/hour!
Amazon was charged with breaking the law & violating our rights. Now they’re refusing to pay workers who are witnesses in the trial for our lost days of work.
Help replace our lost wages during the trial since Amazon refuses to — make a donation today:
Management SILENCED Marcio, an immigrant worker and member of our organizing committee by cranking up the music during our stand-up meeting. Silencing the demands of hundreds of workers to address the lack of translation for workers who speak English as a second language.
Amazon said themselves that workers have a right to have this rally and only asked that we "be respectful." To us, respect at work is $30/hr, 180 hrs PTO, and protection against arbitrary firings, but they want to scare us from even talking and organizing with coworkers
New study found: "For many workers, a job at Amazon does not offer a clear pathway to economic security." AND working at Amazon causes pain & exhaustion that force workers to take unpaid time off.
This is why we're fighting for $30/hr starting wage, 180 hrs PAID time off & more.
University of Illinois Chicago out with a big survey of Amazon warehouse workers today. Over the last three months:
--53% experienced food insecurity
--48% experienced housing insecurity
--56% haven't been able to pay all their bills
