@Stephen32979327 I'm never going to be ashamed of public interest & public service work! It's what gets me out of bed in the morning. I want to make my community and my country better, so that's how I spend my work hours. I wish I had even more to give.

And last I am so sorry to all the civil servants out there who are living through this. In a just world your choice to work in public service wouldn't subject you to this sort of mindless vindictiveness. Our hearts break for you and for our country.

There's nothing patriotic about shutting down the federal government's ability to fund scientific research, or communicate to the public about the spread of disease. There's nothing admirable in telling workplaces not to acknowledge black history month. 2/
