My wonderful 14yo daughter, Wor Daisy, has been in hospital for 7months. I won’t lie, it’s been the most difficult time of my life.But the good news is she’s coming home next week. There’s a long way to go to full recovery for her and lots of hard work. But, I’m fucking ecstatic!

Right, Wor Daisy hasn’t had it easy the last couple of years as many of you know, but I’m extremely proud of her tonight, as she goes off to her School Prom Night. I’m selfishly a bit sad that my Little Daisy Duke isn’t so little anymore but can’t complain really. ♥️

A very close friend passed away a few days ago. My gig partner and we spent hours poncing in art galleries. The best way I could pay tribute was to attempt a portrait of him, I’ve never done one before but felt compelled. I love you Nolan and will miss you every day of my life💔

Been painting the last few nights. The bloke who commissioned it sent me around 20 pics of paintings and photos of Sunflower fields and I’ve sort of cherry picked the best bits of them and hopefully improved on them.

The family of my mate who passed away a couple of weeks ago want the portrait I did of him to be there at the funeral and the wake afterwards. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so honoured or emotional.

A few people on here have recently been asking how Wor Daisy is doing these days. Sadly, she’s been struggling for a few weeks as her illness has taken hold again and she’s in hospital. She’s ok but is on a drip getting fluids pumped in for a few days. She will beat it, defo.

Been looking after my mate who lives alone and is ill with COPD. I get his messages and prescriptions. Noticed he’s been living off ham sarnies for most meals so done the div a big batch of sausage pasta last night. Done enough to last him a week .He’ll be sick of the stuff 😂

I never talk about my feelings or emotions to anyone. But, I’m frightened, sad, angry and upset. My daughter is going backwards in recovery and I feel helpless and useless. Can’t pretend all is fine anymore when it’s not, it’s all shite. Said it. Line under and get on with it.

Well, tonight I’m going to raise a glass in memory of my marvellous Granma, Violet Stokoe. Hard as nails and funny as fuck and a master of the insult. Here she is at her 101st birthday party last month and her at 16 in 1932. Proper working class family matriarch, she was.

Just finished a painting. It’s called ‘Sunrise from Mount Cheviot’. I know people seem to call it ‘The Cheviot’ these days but when I was a kid I knew it as Mount Cheviot, and I walked up it plenty of times, so I’ll call it that. Anyways, here’s me painting of it.
