I personally don’t love people walking around schools with assault rifles and our police being unable to arrest them because our GOP leadership insists on allowing these dangerous things to happen.
Police checked out 911 reports about this man with a long gun, but because the open carry of loaded long guns without a permit, background check or training is legal in Tennessee, no arrest was made. Meanwhile, nearby schools in Memphis went into lockdown.

Kids in public schools are outperforming participants in TN’s voucher pilot program….yet Gov. Lee is pushing to expand the program? They care about the money, not student achievement.
I went through TCAP scores for every district in the state for Math and ELA (Grades 3-8 and 11) compared to the ESA pilot group. There are 140 public school districts in this group.
In ELA, all but 11, so 129, outperformed the ESA group.
In Math, it's all but 2, 138 did better.

I’ve had two miscarriages. It’s traumatic enough to bleed out what would have been my child into the toilet, shower, and adult diapers. The physical pain is excruciating. The emotional pain is unbearable. Govt involvement would be the highest level of cruelty.

There is no way to know if a miscarriage was natural or chemically induced, so every single miscarriage will have to be investigated. I can't think of anything more traumatic and demeaning for mothers who unexpectedly lose pregnancies.
