USAID stands for the United States Agency for International Development. It is an independent agency of the U.S. government that is primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance. Here are some key points about USAID: Mission: USAID works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential. It focuses on areas like economic growth, agriculture, trade, health, democracy, conflict prevention, and humanitarian aid. History: Established by President John F. Kennedy in 1961 through the Foreign Assistance Act, USAID has been operating for over six decades. Activities: USAID's programs include: Health: Improving access to healthcare, fighting diseases like HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis, and promoting maternal and child health. Education: Expanding access to quality education, particularly in crisis and conflict areas. Economic Development: Promoting economic growth through private sector engagement, agriculture, and infrastructure development. Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance: Supporting democratic institutions, rule of law, and human rights. Environment: Addressing climate change, promoting sustainable use of natural resources, and disaster risk reduction. Humanitarian Assistance: Providing emergency aid in response to natural disasters, conflicts, and other crises. Partnerships: USAID collaborates with a variety of partners including other U.S. government agencies, international organizations, NGOs, private sector companies, and local communities to implement its programs. Global Presence: USAID operates in more than 100 countries, with field offices managing projects tailored to local needs and conditions. Funding: USAID's budget is approved by the U.S. Congress, and it uses these funds to support its international development initiatives. USAID's work is crucial in the U.S. foreign policy framework, aiming to promote stability, security, and prosperity worldwide, which in turn is believed to benefit U.S. interests. If you're interested in more specific aspects of USAID's work or its impact in particular regions, let me know!

If this happens, I’m done. Absolutely will not and cannot stand for this. And I hope I have friends who will do the same.
Hearing that Trump is about to double down on the constitutional crisis. A President cannot eliminate an appropriated federal agency by executive order. That’s what a despot - who wants to steal the taxpayers money to enrich his billionaire cabal - does. Watch USAID tonight.

I’m sorry but how the F is this allowed to happen?!? I just cannot. This man was not elected to anything. Actively ruining lives left right and center.
Reuters: "Aides to Elon Musk charged with running the U.S. government human resources agency have locked career civil servants out of computer systems that contain the personal data of millions of federal employees." This foreign-born sociopath that nobody elected shouldn't be anywhere near sensitive computer systems.
