AI companies are exceedingly valued on expectations, they are in a race with each other to produce the best models and building these models takes immense resources. When you have an employee of your company saying your unreleased model is inferior to the competition… what do you think this signals to investors and the public? Quitting instead of deleting the post was an insane exercise in hubris.

@PROPHETOFTMH @teenharp @BolshevikMonkey @stunnatiff Do you pay for business insider? How did you review the graphs? Or did you just see the headline and paste the link? Honestly that would explain a lot.

@PROPHETOFTMH @teenharp @BolshevikMonkey @stunnatiff You realize that report is based on telephone interviews where people self report “discrimination” right?

@FishtankSkhado @stunnatiff Do you need more examples or can you extrapolate. No one said automatic acceptance.

To the general sediment in the comments: No, these are not just performing “monkeys” (not my words), these are some of the richest people in the world who have risen to the top of their fields, who employe numbers more members of their communities. The “system” is not designed to oppress you and hope you fail. The rest of us don’t want you on welfare and committing crimes, it’s expensive for us. The idea that you are oppressed in the current day is sold to you for political support. Up until 10 seconds ago DEI quotas were set up to admit you to universities you didn’t have the grades to get into and give you jobs you were less competitive for. For 12 out of the last 16 years you have had an administration that worshipped at your feet and told you that nothing that goes wrong in your life is your fault, you don’t have to take any responsibility for your actions because you’re a victim of the “system”. No, not everyone is born into equal circumstances. But if you believe that you can’t better your station by making good choices because of the colour of your skin, then you ARE oppressed because you live in the prison of your own mind.
