I see a lot of Data Analysts try to learn ML right out the gate. They think it'll help get them hired since it shows they know the advanced stuff. Hiring managers don't really care about that - they're hiring you for a specific reason. I recommend learning the basics first.

After about 2 years working as a Data Analyst I realized almost everyone is winging it! No one knows everything and people do a lot of research to figure things out - they don't just know it. This completely baffled me because I thought you needed to really know almost.

SQL Interviews are everywhere!. Interviewers do this to ensure you are experienced enough in the skill to use it in the position they're hiring for. They don't want to have to teach you everything from scratch - even if you're a beginner (you should still know the basics well).

Sometimes you have to be a bit shameless to get your first job in data. Messaging people, sending your resume to people, calling recruiters, posting on LinkedIn about needing a job - no one will remember that in 10 years, they will just see your success. It really is a grind.
