It was possibly the first year in a long time there was a pressure on him and the club to achieve something. Give him the keys may have meant one thing to him and one thing to Stott.

I’m presuming JG didn’t have that luxury which is what makes him so standout (though when he did we weren’t exactly doing poorly, under performing but not underachieving maybe?)

In times of desperation, JG is undoubtedly on his own at EP. When the sun has shined, that’s maybe a different question.

@GiallorossiBlue @PopsideFanatics Possibly. From my point of view it’s not just you lot as well it’s Birmingham and what happened to them. He’s evidently a champship quality manager so for me he fits what we’re after whether we stay up or not, he is capable of managing at this level
