I wrote about what Adam Silver feels is worth clarifying & speaking out on (why the All-Star Game must be played) versus what he'd prefer to stay silent on (whether he regrets his jumbled remarks in 2019 about Masai Ujiri and the cop who shoved him twice)

SF Giants principal owner Charles Johnson recently maxed out a $6600 donation (most you can give for primary + general election) to Ron DeSantis's presidential campaign, according to FEC filings. Seems DeSantis is his 2024 candidate of choice

Okay, it’s officially end of day—aka the deadline I sent to the Giants and Diamondbacks—and neither team has responded, which I am taking as a “declined to comment.” So there you go

Surely WSU coach Nick Rolovich, who's refused to get vaccinated but also said at Pac-12 media day that he's "not against vaccinations," will go ahead and get it now rather than make a huge stink and self-eject from his job

Manfred says city hasn't figured out infra costs *and* city + A's still aren't in agreement on affordable housing Again: John Fisher could solve both issues by fronting infra $, setting aside his revulsion to AH. He'd get a sweetheart deal city wants to hand him on a platter

I guess ESPN thought this was a neutral framing, but if your conclusion after reviewing the evidence in the Watson cases is there are "dual narratives" — implying the accounts of "both sides" are equally viable — then you're very much revealing your biases

Statement from Senate candidate/Rep. Barbara Lee on A's possible Vegas relocation, calls it "extremely disheartening" and a "mistake." "I'm hopeful the current A's ownership, or a new ownership group, come back to the negotiating table to reconsider staying in Oakland."
