A friend in Seoul can’t withdraw $700 without. proof as to why he needs more than $700. Like printed proof to bring to the bank in person. He can however, move $500k/day on a local Korean crypto exchange.

For those of you wondering why $APT is $17. Aptos is a meme coin in Korea. The #1 asset class in Korea is real estate — more specifically, Apartments. Retail is calling Aptos “apartment” claiming people can one day afford to purchase an actual apartment if they hold $APT.

In an UBER now. Got to talking about their IPO. Driver says they are getting cash bonuses based on tenure — $500 for the two years she’s driven for UBER. It’s not much, but pretty cool that they’re paying drivers.

This is a serious challenge for us. We call it “language barrier” but it runs deeper than that, in this case its outright discrimination. Crypto is a global phenomenon. I hope everyone realizes this sooner than later.
I don’t like bullying. I just witnessed a group of American crypto people mocking and laughing at someone who has serious on the ground experience but not perfect English at an event. Calling it a day, going to the gym.

This is crazy. Women getting groped on subways is a real problem. (Subways in Tokyo have women-only cars). True story, I witnessed this in Seoul some years back and stepped in by making a scene trying to blatantly grab the guy’s ass.
Yesterday a total stranger grabbed my arm in the subway to get me to talk to him and today another man followed me into a CVS store and blocked my path to “ask about my background”. Both times I had earphones in. Afterwards I went home & angry-cried over how powerless I felt.

When “adoption” is in question, look towards Asia for clues. 1.) Samsung Galaxy s10 ships with a private key wallet. 2.) KYC/AML into Upbit via Kakao, the leading messaging app. 3.) super low penetration of @MyCrypto and @myetherwallet, people keep their crypto on exchanges.
1/ Crypto will conquer the world, but it will do so partly by becoming low friction to end users. It’s currently “too hard” to do everything. Pasting an alphanumeric string is hard enough to keep out 95% of the world.
