What you have to understand about the numbers band is the thing that makes them so good is how they don't have a filter, a consequence of which is the really earnest (but bad) lyrics
when ppl talk about the 1975 and the big issue is like “matty healy thinks he’s being clever but he’s NOT” i have to just assume they can’t get it bc they’ve never been in love with some guy who like .. doesn’t believe in using the microwave for borderline conspiratorial reasons
