Why does this bring to mind how Alex Salmond was treated by Nicola and Peter? Using #metoo and the power of the state to destroy a reputation with the media falling into line...

For any person who thinks the Ryan Reynolds/Blake Lively v Justin Baldoni case is about Hollywood gossip, you are doing yourself a tremendous disservice by not reading through the lawsuits. This is infinitely worse than the Amber Heard case which was about two lovers scorned and revenge. This is a story about a truly evil couple who used their access to wealth and power and the #metoo movement to destroy a man who had never once offended them and never once defended himself. They tried to isolate him by effectively buying off all of his friends, taking over his movie and staging a cancellation of his entire career all because Ryan Reynolds was jealous, friends with Taylor Swift and he could. Hollywood execs and the New York Times got in line with an act of sheer cruelty, because they similarly could and/or were unwilling to stand up to friends of Taylor Swift. Power corrupts, absolutely. The New York Times should never be trusted ever again. Meghan Twohey, should be forced to give back her bullshit #metoo Pulitzer. She knew exactly what she is doing. There is no way any of these people involved will be able to wiggle themselves out of what they attempted to execute for the sheer sport of it. Careers will end, but more importantly, the #metoo movement is now completely over, and will be remembered as little more than another stain in American history.

Well it didn't work. 250,000 Serbs were ethically cleansed from Kosovo, an ancient part of Serbia. Nato decided to support what many would regard an an Albanian terrorist group rather than uphold the sovereignty of Serbia. They lied about the Racak Massacre to justify bombing a modern European capital. Alex Salmond was right. 'An unpardonable folly'. How is that a humanitarian intervention? Also, they were going nowhere with the war until Russia intervened. Bombing air raid shelters, TV stations and cardboard 'tanks'.

My daughters and many other kids from Glasgow Gaelic School got a very special treat from Man City—tickets to their Euro game vs Club Bruge on Wednesday. They had a brilliant time and thank you to the club. I picked them up at 2:30 am. “Why don’t English fans cheer, sing, or shout like they do in Scotland?” they asked. “They do,” I said. “But you were watching Manchester City.”

Dehumanisation of people provides an excuse to kill them, an excuse for genocide. Will we never learn? Here is someone doing that.

I must say, after the horrific images we witnessed during the release of hostages today, I find it difficult to have any empathy for the ‘civilians’ of Gaza, given they are so indistinguishable from the savages of Hamas. They are no different to those who stormed on Oct 7th.

The storm that hit the Hebrides in 2005 resulted in the widespread destructuon of roads and causeways, houses badly damaged and the tragic loss of multiple lives. Gusts of 124mph in Outer Isles and 120 mph in Inner Hebrides. Remember this storm if claiming the one tomorrow is worst in generations. If it is, it is going to be devastating.

James Clerk Maxwell’s contributions are extraordinary. More world-changing discoveries may yet come from his equations of over 150 years ago. Maybe then he will be as famous as Newton and Einstein and get the recognition he deserves. 🌟🔬📡 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
