@olgakhazan @rebecca_rashid This is great. Reminded me of "The Case Against Credentialism" from 1985 that's still relevant. Placing so much value on getting the (costly) credentials--just one barrier to starting over.

@MarkELindsay I have a vendetta against leaf blowers. They just blow things outside from one place to another. It's like when you ask a kid to clean their room and they shove everything under the bed. Also the hearing loss thing...

@aishuarjun @NTSAD isn't there better data to support HBB seq (in comparison) now too? I just would have assumed someone's put this out there by now.

@rkgenetics Training piece has always interested me. Med school = 4 years. GC = 2-2.5? Postgrad training happens for MDs and many GCs, it's just that MDs have it formalized into residency. The first 2 yrs of my job after grad school was residency b/c I was specialized. Need to formalize?

@JamesLLlamas @cvspharmacy Same thing happened to me last week. Will add that @cvspharmacy recommended I just "call an @Uber" so I could expose the driver b/c THEN they would test me. I don't own a car, so I was refused COVID testing and should unnecessarily expose an Uber driver? Done w/ CVS as well.
