Spotted today crossing Princes Street at the foot of The Mound - a 1959 BMW Isetta 300 - I looked it up on the DVLA site because I know absolutely nothing about cars!

One of two identical mosaics which have recently come to light at the entrance to Jenners on Princes Street - CJ & Co with the date 1894. Not all that easy to photograph!

The graves of navvies who died in the early 1900's during the construction of Blackwater Reservoir near Kinlochleven in the Scottish Highlands
Surprised to find this ghost sign in Broughton Place today, it's new to me so I suspect it's only come to light recently.

Loved everything about this shopfront on Ferry Road today, from the ghost signs to the colour of the shutters in the early morning sunshine, and nice to have a bit of a chat with the owner as they were opening up. 😃

My main reason for walking through Leith yesterday was to photograph the 'J McIntyre' ghost sign that's reappeared at Capital Pets on Easter Road - thanks

Found another ghost sign on Cockburn St. this morning, presumably it was under the Scott Brothers sign that was there previously. Ah, according to the 1911 PO Directory Scott Brothers were Baby Carriage Maunfacturers with a factory at 22 Greenside Place.

Another ghost sign that has been around for many years is this one at 120 St Stephen Street in Stockbridge. Today I got lucky, it was the first time I've wandered by when there wasn't something parked in front of the shop!

Visited the small burial ground today situated behind the Gallery of Modern Art, previously John Watson's Institution, which contains the graves of 12 pupils who died there between 1828 and 1888. A previous visitor had left a rose and a coin on each marker.
