World continental tour Bronze, Belgium last night. 800 c David finished second in 1:49.4 He is happy with that. Bit of a scrappy first lap led to him being boxed in, the pack slowed causing him to stumble. Once clear he moved well through the rest of the athletes. @GatesheadHAC

BMC B 1500m Sheffield EIS. today, David won his race in 3.47.8. Decided on the 1500 as it was his first real test of his recovery. He is very happy. Felt really strong and thinks there is another couple of seconds to come off that. Next up Ghent Belgium in a couple of weeks 👀

David’s last training session in the north east before heading back down to Loughborough. Frozen track so resorted to a back up session. He is hoping it is a few degrees warmer than here! Not long till his first indoor race 👀

Nice to have David home for Christmas and the new year. I was straight back to timing duties for his training session! He is fully recovered from his op and is working hard to be back to full fitness for the indoor season.

Well David performed better than expected, he wasn’t last! He felt ok at the end of the race but he didn’t have it in his legs to go with the pace. The lack of training before and since his op told in the end. Still he had a run out, just needs to build his fitness back up.

@BorisBedd Totally agree, the number of times Osula showed for a run in behind but the ball was simply passed out wide was so frustrating, he must have been spitting feathers at the end

David ran in the World Continental Tour Challenger/BMC Grand Prix 800m A race tonight. Brilliant run to finish 2nd (1:48.50) in very windy conditions. He is feeling strong at last, after all his injuries and illness this year. @GatesheadHAC @chloeandliam24t

It’s silver 🥈for David in the England Athletics u23 champs in the 800m tonight. Quite a slow race in the heat. He is a little disappointed that he wasn’t closer to the winner, race tactics hindered him. @GatesheadHAC

David competed in the EAP meeting this afternoon in Loughborough. Not a particularly fast race (1:49.96 for the 800m) but still a nice win under his belt. He felt strong and had plenty left in the last 100m. @GatesheadHAC

David ran an 800m in Birmingham (BMC Grand Prix) last night, 1:48. Not bad, he is happy with his performance and that he seems to be getting over his run in with the dreaded norovirus he had a couple of weeks ago, it really knocked him back.
