Why are we not all as outraged about the Children’s Hospital as we were about Ryan Tubridy’s wages? It’s gone from €650m to €1.73billion and no sign of completion. Why is there no interrogation by politicians on the Tv everyday or did I miss it? Genuine question.

Friends house was broken into during the day by 3 masked men in rural Mayo. Their teenage son was home alone. When Guards were called “there was no car available”. This isn’t a Dublin problem, it’s a nationwide problem. And asking guards to work extra shifts isn’t the answer.

Before the national media go to town on Galway for all these incidents, this isn’t a Galway issue….it’s a policing issue. Guards don’t have the support / resources to do their jobs. It’s a nationwide problem but no doubt we will throw a bit of overtime at it until it goes away.

Paramedic’s told me they are waiting up to 4 hours to discharge patients at the back door of Mayo General. I overheard a doctor in the corridor saying “we need to get rid of some of these patients” and the woman replied “I’m not a nurse”. Mayo General seems to be out of control.
