I welcome the conclusions of the East African Community & @SADC_News leaders following their respective Summits regarding the security situation in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and their decision to hold a joint intra regional Summit to map the next practical steps. Their recommnendations echo the longstanding @_AfricanUnion call for a political solution through dialogue within the framework of the AU-led #Luanda and #Nairobi processes. #DRC #RDC

The situation in East of the DRC is a cause for concern for Africans. This conflict and others (in Sudan, Ethiopia, extremists driven conflicts across the sahel) must be halted. We must talk, negotiate and be flexible to embrace peace.@eac @ecowas_cedeao @SADC_News @AUC_PAPS
