FDA approved these medications for chronic weight loss management.
As in data supported it’s benefit for weight loss. Supply issues will always be a pitfall of capitalist health infrastructure.

Please stop going into healthcare if you don't want to help people/want to mock them/and want to pretend you're not aware of how inequity affects people's health and wellness.
I evaluated a patient today that hasn’t drank water in over 5 years. Coffee and Mountain Dew. I was able to convince her to start drinking one cup a day. ONE. Healthcare makes me tired.
So proud of Afrobeats Dance Boston& the incredible women I’ve accomplished this with.

Additionally weight management is important for holistic health/alleviating risk factors- as we know - we don’t need to undermine that to be frustrated by lack of supply for Diabetic patients.

I want to point out that multiple communities in African countries women still worked, still held major responsibilities because they wanted to, and because it “made childbirth easier”. Black/Latinx rates of miscarriages and delivery issues is due to oppressive systems.
@peymamas
Should people who suffer from Diabetes have access to medications they need to prevent debilitating chronic issues or emergencies like HHNK, of course. But not addressing core isssues and blaming individuals is irresponsible.
In your interactions with ancillary staff, with specialists, with patients… kindness and respect just go so much further than anything else
Even when tired, even when frustrated.

Large issue is high carbohydrate dominant meals with little to no fiber nutritional value.
Vegetables not in abundance (No light for storage//clean water for cleaning)
So on brand- the issue is colonialism and current exploitation
Now to address affordability and access.
