When talking to a scam victim we need to explore their situation without making them feel judged, we need to use simple, honest and caring language and make them feel they are being listened to. This way they are more likely to open up about their experience.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a negative cycle. CBT can help scam victims. Read more here:
