Through its investment in Israel Bonds, our union is lending lending unrestricted funds to the Israeli government that can be used to fund any & all violence & human rights violations.

Investing in Israel Bonds also doesn’t make any financial sense for our members.
These bonds are significantly more unstable and restrictive than other comparable bonds, not allowing our union to make the decisions we need to make to prioritize the interests of our members.

Not only must our union commit to not purchase any bonds in the future, but it must commit to truly democratic processes of discussion and debate.
That did not happen yesterday.

The International Court of Justice confirms that Israel's settlements violate Art. 49 of the 4th Geneva Convention (prohibiting an occupiers population moving into occupied territory). They are war crimes. The International Criminal Court should also act.

We welcome this decision from the International Court of Justice. Israel must end its occupation of Palestine to stop fuelling apartheid and systematic violations of international law.
