The @RwandaGov, through @RwandaAgri, has been actively promoting artificial insemination (AI) in pig farming, aiming to boost productivity and reduce disease risks associated with traditional breeding. Pig farmers adopting AI have seen significant growth, proving it as a profitable path. A shining example is Peace NIYOYITA, Founder & MD of @pigs_farm, @BugeseraDistr who has leveraged AI and the National Agriculture Insurance Scheme (NAIS) to transform her business into a thriving enterprise. Now a billionaire entrepreneur, she stands as a role model within Rwanda’s pig farming industry. NIYOYITA says, “Pig farming can empower people, create jobs, and lift communities out of poverty. I’m grateful to the Government of Rwanda for supporting pig farmers.
