The Gambia: a landmark Service Level Agreement to implement Integrated Border Management (IBM) has been signed. This agreement seeks to strengthen interagency coordination, data sharing, + joint operations to tackle cross-border challenges like irregular migration and smuggling.

Across Sub-Saharan Africa we’re working with our partners to drive forward this change by supporting female leadership development in security and defense institutions, and by making a strong case for gender equality in the face of a backlash against women’s rights globally.
#Security is also a #women's issue - especially in this tense situation, it is essential that women strengthen their role in shaping security policy solutions. This realisation is a first step. Now we need targeted measures and time to drive forward the change we have begun.
