@meatcrowning @povyouremykid @kortizart "Running a model locally" in the context of this achieves what exactly ? It's not a gotcha like you think it is. And does not refute any of her arguments. I agree with Karla 100% and I've "ran a model locally" several times, multiple versions over many months to test.

@iambobbyfoster Tik tok and Instagram etc, have obliterated ppl's ability to read a text or pay attention for more than 30 seconds at a time. Anything that cannot be immediately parsed is discarded. So discourse is like a skipping stone or an iceberg that doesn't exist below the water line.

@ednewtonrex @anneliese_midge The sad thing is that with How Paris is going, and what the UK gov is planning despite eloquent resistance like this lovely speech, we are all screwed anyway.

@michaelkutsche @rosagi_99 @Rahll @ChristiesInc Yet your understanding of AI is severely limited. You compare it to how you learn from influences. AI does not work like that. Machine learning expert s don't think it works like that. Stop anthropomorphising code.

@neilturkewitz Richard Attenbourough has specfically asked that people stop using his voice with AI.

@DarkJaysonVR @PorridgeAwful @ednewtonrex Posting something publicly does not make it ok to train on. In no way is that fair to the creator and is clearly AI companies pushing their luck with their exploitative scraping.

@tafphorisms In practice, it doesn't end up working out that way. Poor folks just get screwed over even more. This has already been done elsewhere in the world.
