Unoptimized? Got an update and is fine now.
360fps verified, nong? MANY levels have only been beaten on 360 or have nong and havent been unrated.
Ugly? Plenty of worse levels get rated, and 90+% of the community thinks it's worthy.

Both Fingerdash and Dash have had a problem where the first halves of the levels are significantly more decorated and visually interesting than the second halves, which feel barren and rushed. I really, really hope this trend doesn't continue in 2.3 and beyond.

RobTop said today on the GD Discord that he's currently working on replacing all the placeholder UI art in 2.2 with actual textures. This seems like it would be one of the last steps before releasing an update.

Theory on what's going on with 2.2:
2.2 is in update review hell. 7 years since an update, Apple/Google is likely requiring numerous changes. Rob's been silent so we don't bombard Apple/Google with demands.
This explains the lack of beta updates and the recent Viprin tweets.

Be careful to interpret this correctly–RobTop has not submitted the update yet–he said 2.2 is ABOUT to be completely finished. Let's say he submits it by the 30th, it'll likely be released on either the 4th, 5th, or 6th.

Nowadays, RobTop rates about 20 levels per day. The number of levels sent to Rob per day by moderators is in the order of hundreds—about 240 per day, roughly. This means that only ~8% of sent levels get rated. (1/14)

RobTop hasn't publicly submitted 2.2 to Google Play, Apple, or Steam. Based on this, a release within 7 days is possible but unlikely
However, the beta branch hasn't been updated in 4 days. He could have submitted it without telling Elder mods–it could release in days or a week+

You will need 3,210 Demon Keys to open all the new treasure room chests in 2.2.
To open every chest we have currently in 2.11, you need only 440.
That’s 3,650 Demon Keys, or earning 1.8 million orbs total. Just for 2.2 chests, it’s 1.6 million.

Parents had appointment today, and got news: It wasn't 1 stage 3-4 cancer, but 2 separate stage 1 cancers.

GD 2.3's planned "custom art" feature is getting some pushback, and IMO it's for good reason. Part of the charm of creations in this game is everything is made with vanilla objects. If I see something cool, then realize it's a PNG rather than GD objects, the charm is lost.
