It was an honour to attend the retirement event for Dame Claire Bertschinger at the @LSHTM this week. Claire has given #paramedics a profound gift of letting us attend the Diploma of Tropical Nursing programme.

@theCoROM I also set up the Kiboshos District Hospital which is 14km up Mt Kili. SOF medics have a better time up there since they work with a lot more autonomy.

Dame @ClaireBerts has her final speech at @LSHTM. I already have my flights booked to attend this in person. You can attend virtually. Date: 13 December Time: 1600 UK She started the Diploma of Tropical Nursing and opened it for paramedics.

@MaxMarsden83 @Gillers83 We created SHEEP VOMIT at @theCoROM . I taught on BATLS from 2009-2012. It wasn't in the BATLS curriculum. I am happy if they are teaching it now.

@MallinsonT I like the article about using #POCUS to scan for brain haemorrhage. There is no reason not to have an ultrasound in austere and prehospital environments.
