@emojibakemono @GiggukAZ It has been like this since they changed how gamesharing worked on PS3, it used to be you could game share with up to 5 people but as it turns out… people abused it and some would even sell accounts with games so Sony decided to limit it to 2 people.

@Aherys_ @SynthPotato @Dukeskendrick27 They do, they aren’t using screen space reflections. You can easily tell because the reflections stay on screen when you’re not looking at the object. That’s why the reflections look really good even today, they just did the easiest but more demanding method.

@SynthPotato @Dukeskendrick27 Problem with HL2’s reflections though are that it’s literally rendering the world twice. Try doing that today with the fidelity we have and you’ll have people crying about how unoptimised it is and they should use vastly uglier techniques like SSR.

@locust9 I mean I get where they’re coming from, it’s obviously pre-alpha so it’s subject to change but a lot of the assets seen here are from Battlefield Portal, not only that but the movement and animations are similar to 2042’s also.

@PrimitiveAK @charlieINTEL Oh… is that so? So you apparently had more experience with 2042 than say Battlefield YouTubers like JackFrags and Weston who like me got their first taste of 2042 gameplay with the technical playtest in August.

@PrimitiveAK @charlieINTEL They did NOTHING like this for BF2042 or any other Battlefield, they only had a technical play test and a Beta just a couple months before launch.. This is much different where it’ll basically be the CTE from BF4/BF1 but way more involved and months before the games launch.
