@killianbyrne @GardaTraffic @AmbulanceNAS @MayoFireService It's important that people know that even if they find themselves in dire situations, a 999 call can be made. The call taker will always find the right service for the individual, including those like the @RNLI or @CivilDefenceIRL. Emergency services will never judge, just help!

@killianbyrne Like anything, it's not 100% guaranteed, depending on where you are etc, but even if your phone is showing no service and you dial 999, it will use any available network from any provider to make the emergency call. It is called piggy backing. 🤙

🚨 #StormÉowyn 🚨 With a @MetEireann Red Wind Warning set to take effect from 4am on Friday morning, the strong gusts pose a significant risk to safety, and the @RNLI is urging the public to exercise extreme caution, particularly along exposed cliffs, seafronts, piers and paths.
