I'm a 3D Animator working in the industry, currently involved on a Marvel animated series. Also an occasional doodler as well :)
I actually had a different pass last year for my Sonic animation but dropped it due to me prioritizing my first animation job. when I decided to hop back into it which was the tail end of 2022, I really didn't like how slow and unappealing it looked, so I redid all of it, lol
Back in mid April, I was working on an animation project that was inspired off of
@demxhax
's Sonic moveset revision that he made around the same time. I originally planned to finish this around May, however I stopped working on it altogether, for a few reasons...
A new update just dropped for the Rollin' Rascal demo and one of my contributions to the patch was the addition of some of the air trick animations. Here's some of the ones that I made, with most of them being more stunt-oriented.
Here's another animation I worked on at the start of this year. This month I went back to it again just adding some slight animation polish and rendering touch-ups.

Here's one of the stage clear animations i did for
@TheRollinRascal
. I had a bit of creative freedom to put my own spin on the posing and timing and it was really fun to animate! The demo is available on steam if you're curious to give the game a try!
This was something I animated back in December, but went back to for some slight animation polish and added rendering for an upcoming demo reel.

Surprise! I'm gonna be helping out with some animation work for Rollin' Rascal! The talented folks over at
@curiomatic
reached out to me awhile back in regards to assistance with the animations and it was a huge honour to lend a hand on the project.
Took a little bit of time to do some animation training during the start of this year. This one was a bit of a challenge but here's my Body Acting assignment I created while I was at
@animschool
. Huge thanks to my mentor, Scott Guppy for assisting me throughout the term
first time i've ever done some landscape stuff (in a long while at least). so just kinda winged what i could lol. was def trying to go for the vibe of a
@lizardcube
game
@SpeccyNeek
they're just simple meshes applied with a surface shader material. since it's a surface shader, light isn't really affecting the mesh in any dynamic way so you can cheat the positioning of it to favour the camera view (this is dependent of how it's rendered too however)
Artists, let me see your improvement over 5 years!
The left was one of the oldest ones I could find. I think I picked up digital art around 2018 as well so.... yeah..
@ThornatosX
@artstoff
you know for this one I actually just winged most of it lmao. when it comes to creating parkour/action-animated scenes, I mainly experiment with a bunch of camera angles and loose reference footage. that being said layouts are really important, especially for action scenes!
