“Rep. Stephanie Stahl Hamilton, D-Tucson, last year sponsored a bill that successfully repealed a pre-statehood abortion ban quickly after it was upheld by the Arizona Supreme Court. She has introduced five bills to repeal abortion restrictions. Those would end the ban on telehealth, allow abortion pills to be mailed, remove a law that makes it a misdemeanor to advertise for abortions and more.”

A little passive aggressive, but still, not something you see every day at the #AZLeg.
Watch as House GOP Appropriations Chair David Livingston, under questioning from Democrats this week, says he hopes to make massive cuts to programs for developmentally disabled children (and other vital services that use federal funds). His reason: He expects Trump to cut aid to Arizona by billions. He and Rep. Justin Olson liken it the billions cut from the AZ budget in 2011. That was during the Great Recession! If Trump does this, it’s sabotage by choice not necessity. He has inherited a strong and growing economy that can sustain programs for our most vulnerable.
