@TradesTalk Seems a shame that most students get pushed toward university and long term debt with no job at the end I think most teachers think the construction industry is for the less intelligent students which is a shame for our skills shortage

@TradesTalk A5 Yes and common sense🤣🤣 Do feel we are getting more people into construction than we ever have and we will always find people to replace who we have got in place. #TradesTalk This is a subject that is always raised, even when I was an apprentice #TradesTalk

@Monty_Electrics @TradesTalk It is there to help training providers and small companies who don't want to commit to an apprenticeship programme #TradesTalk

@Ceraunic @TradesTalk That will always be the case, don't think one boot fits all on apprenticeships #TradesTalk

@TradesTalk A4 Training providers will assist then with insurance and the potential costs that a small business will occur when they employ someone. The apprentice is then taken on contracts that will assist them with their learning. #TradesTalk

@Ceraunic @TradesTalk it is about getting a more diverse training for the apprentice and do apprentices stay on after qualifying? #TradesTalk

@Ceraunic @TradesTalk Unfortunately a course content is agreed way before the learner signs up for the course and a lot of these things cannot be changed due to funding etc. Had this debate a few times #TradesTalk
