I’ll never be able to truly say “mummy” again, in the way I’d always said it. My loving, beautiful, hardworking, devoted and God-fearing mother, ESTHER OLUYOMBO SOYEMI, has gone to rest. She lived a life of sacrifice to position me for success in life. I celebrate her forever.
Today, my mum clocks 79. Even when things were difficult, she chose to stay and train us. Most likely, I might never have attained my current status in life but for her doggedness. I celebrate my dear mum today and always. Please join me in celebrating this amazing woman.

To the glory of God Almighty and with a grateful heart, yesterday, I tendered my application for voluntary retirement from the Nigerian Air Force after nearly 38 years of Service (inclusive of 5 years of military training at the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna)…/1
A little reminder...if you’ve clocked 40 years, cut down on salt, sugar & processed foods, increase intake of fruits & vegetables, exercise moderately, regularly check your blood pressure as well as levels of glucose & cholesterol. Then, reduce worrying and leave the rest to God.
A toast to Nigerian Air Force (NAF) pilots as they sacrifice day and night, alongside other NAF personnel, towards ensuring the integrity of the Nigerian airspace. 🥂
I’m glad to note that the Nigerian Air Force has started distributing the oxygen being produced at its Liquid Oxygen Plant to isolation centres and designated hospitals across the country in support of the national response to
#COVID2019
pandemic. Kudos
@NigAirForce
Yesterday, I felt much joy as I noticed that many handles tweeted about the victories currently being recorded by the Nigerian Military against the BHTs. Let’s keep the moral support flowing as we pray for more victories until the aim is achieved. God bless Nigeria and Nigerians.
I thank all my followers and other Twitter friends for your love and support since my days as the official Spokesman of the Nigerian Air Force. God bless you all…/4
Don’t be threatened when a subordinate consistently suggests good ideas. Your ability to recognize and utilize the value in the ideas is what makes you the leader.
It’s still a puzzle that some are quick to push stories of reported losses by our armed forces in the ongoing counterinsurgency ops and would then keep mute when BHTs suffer great losses. It’s a battle to secure the lives of all Nigerians; let’s keep supporting our military.
I participated in the ECOMOG Operations in Liberia and Sierra Leone for 2yrs from 1997 - 1999. This I know well...whenever anarchy reigns in the land, all parties suffer, irrespective of their status, ideological beliefs or inclinations. Shun fake news and promote peace always...
I believe many comments made on
@Twitter
would have been different and refreshingly better, if many more realized that their offsprings in later years could rely on tweets, and not just oral history, to gain real insights into who their ancestors were and what they stood for.
When you display virtually half of your private lifestyle on social media platforms, remember that you are thereby empowering any outsider to more or less accurately outline your life history, build your profile and predict your next moves.
We are living in the period of a war of narratives. This is easily noticeable in the manner of reportage of the war against Boko Haram Terrorists. Let’s be careful to avoid falling prey to the antics of those engaged in hybrid warfare against Nigeria, with their hidden interests.
I am indeed excited as my daughter,
@perrsephony
, is called to the Bar today. I pray that, with this call, she will be able to substantially contribute her quota to Nigeria’s development and the World at large. Kindly join my family in celebrating and thanking God.
I am always proud of serving in the Nigerian Air Force, which at 56, is only getting better by the day. Willing, Able and Ready to serve the Nation... 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬
Wishing my dad, Chief Moses Adesanya Soyemi, a happy birthday anniversary at 87. It it my prayers that he continues to age in grace and with a sound mind.
I shall make myself available to continue to render service to the Nation in whatever capacity that God might bring forth. The Nigerian Project will surely succeed greatly…/3
Even in arithmetic, division decreases value while multiplication increases it. Those who persist in focusing on the things that cause disunity/division would only realize that they continue to decrease in life while others increase. Be positive and promote unity.
Terrorists aim to spread terror by killing and intentionally recording with the hope that the visuals would be widely circulated. When you spread the VISUALS, especially to a large followership, you “inadvertently” help terrorists to achieve their aim. Deprive them of publicity!
As a young starter in life, if the focus of your spending is to impress people, to let them know that you have “arrived” or that you “belong”, you will most likely have a long-lasting relationship with poverty in the future. Be wise...
Recent tweets by

Working smart is good but never fail to be hardworking. Many of those who avoid hard work, with focus on only being smart to rise to the top, often crash hard eventually.
Today makes it exactly 33 years of military service to our fatherland. It all started with ‘Cadetship’ training in 1985 at the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna to the ‘Generalship’ rank of today. To God only be the glory for his many mercies!
Be careful what you repeatedly allow your ears to hear or what you always allow your eyes to see or what you consistently read, for those are the things that greatly influence who or what you become, either for good or for bad.
There is no greater honour than to have proudly worn the military uniform for the past 34 years, training period inclusive, in service of our great nation, at home and overseas, in peaceful times and in the battlefront. May God continue to bless

May the supreme sacrifices paid by all the departed colleagues in today’s air incident not be in vain. I also pray that God Almighty comforts their loved ones that have been left behind.
This is to uphold the good military tradition that preserves the discipline within the Armed Forces in view of the recent appointment of new Service Chiefs. Considering my extensive training and experience over the years,…/2
My first birthday anniversary without my mum being alive to witness it... Nevertheless, I thank God that she lived a long and fulfilled life. May we all outlive our old ones.
So,
@elonmusk
removed my verification badge yesterday, a day before my birthday anniversary, but still gave me balloons today. In any case, blue tick or not, I am verified. 😁 Anyway, Happy Eid al-Fitr to all Muslim faithfuls. May Nigeria continue to get better!
In these days, especially, when you come across any tweet or news, be circumspect. Don’t believe or spread any unsubstantiated news if you want to avoid being used as cannon fodder to further the agenda of mischievous elements.
There are 3 major decisions in life that require diligent consideration. These are choices of career (not necessarily educational qualification), spouse and a permanent place of abode. The clearer a picture you have of these 3, on time, the better for you.
Don’t be in too much of a hurry in life; a man/woman must always have something to look forward to. You can’t possibly have everything at a go. Besides, looking forward to the next goal is an essential part of having a motivated lifestyle. My thoughts...

The sooner you realize that many of the things you run after in life matter very little, the longer you would live a happier life. Deeply reevaluate and focus only on the things that really matter...
Grief is not a respecter of status. May the supreme sacrifices of our heroes and heroines not be in vain. Nigeria will be victorious and the lot of Nigerians shall indeed be better.
A wonderful display of honesty by Aircraftman Bashir Umar, who proved to be a great ambassador of

To the phenomenal woman with whom I’ve spent over 2 decades of my life,

This morning, I had the privilege of honouring the invitation of the Russian Government to the 2019 Victory Day Parade at the Red Square in the Kremlin, Moscow.
True wisdom is scarce. If you are blessed enough to have it, make every effort to replicate it in others, for the progress of humanity. If you are honest enough to admit you need it, or more of it, humbly make every effort to get it from those who have it.
With what happened in Year 2020, if you are still alive and healthy, you have every reason to be grateful. Now is the time to deeply reflect and possibly have a personal retreat towards having a more productive and beneficial Year 2021.
The sacrifices of our heroes shall surely not be in vain. Total peace will yet return to the whole of Nigeria and all shall be able to transact legitimate businesses without fear. Let’s keep supporting our Armed Forces, through thick or thin.
A big toast to the Chief of the Air Staff,
@CAS_AMSadique

Why would otherwise respected media houses be quick to publish and tweet unconfirmed news? The way to go is to be known for reliability and accuracy as opposed to speed that is accompanied with uncertainty. I can imagine the embarrassment of pulling down fake news from the net.

Never sell yourself cheap in a moment of desperation. Those who do so often later realize, when it’s too late, that it’s not really worth it. Recognize your value and be willing to endure, where necessary.

Yesterday, 13th March 2024, I embarked on a trip to Wrexham, a little city in Wales, where I went to meet Mr Albert Decker, my Chemistry teacher while I was in secondary school. The last time we saw each other was nearly 4 decades ago. ../1
My dear Twitter Family, I thank you all for the outpouring of love, as you sent condolences following the demise of my mother, ESTHER OLUYOMBO SOYEMI on 17 Nov 20. I do not take it for granted and I really do appreciate you all. May we all be privileged to bury our aged parents.
The newly reactivated gunship will surely add impetus to the ongoing counterinsurgency efforts of
@NigAirForce
. It is even more gladdening to note that the helicopter gunship was reactivated in-house. We will continue to celebrate humble successes as we strive for giant leaps.
Never shut a child up; opportunities and information to deliver from potential trouble sometimes come out of their mouths, when they are allowed to express themselves.
@ShehuSani
One only needs to moderate everything and possibly avoid a few things depending on one’s peculiarities. Avoiding everything is surely dead on arrival.
Expectedly, as we grow older in life, we get to realize that many of the things we struggle for are not really worth it, when all things are considered.
My lovely mummy, Esther Oluyombo Soyemi, would have been 82 yrs old today but for her departure to the great beyond. I’ll never forget her love, sacrifices & commitment to ensuring that all her children succeeded. She was the noblest of women. She’ll remain forever in our hearts.
Remember to hold dear, those you knew when you were a “nobody”. They usually prove to be more important in your life than those you got to know when you became “somebody”.
It’s easier to recognize mistakes in hindsight but apparently more difficult to anticipate them. It’s why critics appear to prosper. In all cases, appreciate efforts, point out perceived errors, remain unbiased, suggest better options, all towards making constructive criticisms.
