As people seem to be enjoying Sega Rally, here is some Scud Race to brighten up your day. Yet another of Sega's outstanding arcade legacy

So the Switch N64 controller works on PC out of the box. The right C button defaults to select but can easily be changed through Steam. Launching the new Zelda Majora's Mask port through Steam means I can play the game perfectly with the N64 controller
Wiseguy has created a tool to make PC ports of N64 games without full decompilations, which means we should see many more PC ports. The first of these is Zelda Majora's Mask and uses
@dariosamo
RT64 renderer for widescreen and high framerate support and plays beautifully
The PC port of Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast has received some new fixes and tweaks including improved reflections, better controller support, music swapping, disabling vehicle LODs, faster loading and UI scaling and more
This is the Steam version of Crazy Taxi with the original assets restored (FILA, KFC etc) all of which are still in the code and just hidden, plus the combined soundtracks of all 3. Finally fixed analogue controls, a coding error sets the values incorrectly and force feedback too
Here's Resident Evil 2 remade in the Source engine, it seems to be the full game complete with puzzles and ink ribbons to save. It's great from what I've played so far and is a standalone mod. Link below
I've never really played Batman Arkham Origins but having just started it on PC I'm captivated by this smoke effect, I love how it just wraps around Batman as he moves through it
The original Outrun 2 tracks running in Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast, this is arguably the greatest arcade racing game ever made and after a bit of wrangling I've got force feedback setup. So much fun and even more so with a wheel for that arcade experience

A sad day is coming very soon, the 7th of February 2023 may be the last day that
#DaytonaUSA
is officially on sale for any platform as it is being removed from the Xbox 360 store with several other games. It isn't on the Xbox One/Series store but can be bought on the link below
The often mind bending Prey 2006, part Doom 3, part Quake 4, part Portal and completely bonkers as you're abducted by aliens and walk on walls, ceilings, shrink, walk through portals and even separate from your spirit from body, all powered by Id Tech 4
To this day I absolutely love how Snow Barrell Blast on Donkey Kong Country starts with a clear sky and you see the snow coming in until it hits where you are. My favourite snow effect in any game
Daytona USA 2 on the Model 3 emulator (left) vs Like A Dragon Gaiden (right) and they've done a good job. It runs at the correct speed, I had to playback the footage of the Model 3 at 95% speed to match, it has a scanline filter and the controls are much less twitchy
I treated myself to a new car on Gran Turismo 7, just the 10million credits for Ayrton Senna's 88 Mclaren and took it for a spin around Suzuka in VR. Little kid me could never have dreamed of such a thing back then
Just an nice relaxing drive to work 😂Outrun 2 is still one of the best Arcade Racing games ever made, here is the PC version in all its glory

Who remembers Sega Rally Revo from the PS3/360? This has some seriously impressive track deformation which really effects the handling of the cars and some nice dirt effects, here it is running on PC and all from 2007 and still fun to play

The Sinden Lightgun is so good, trying out Virtua Cop 2 with it and having a blast. If you miss the days of having a light gun I highly recommend it

The final lap of Riviera on Sega Rally 2, looks a bit like Monaco to me 😉A stunning looking game from 1998 with just a resolution bump

I've heard a few comments like this, where were these people last year when there wasn't a 16 year old in the final? Not to mention the BBC dropping the BDO tournament years ago and killing off what was left of it
He's got a brand new car
Looks like a Jaguar
It's got leather seats
It's got a CD player, player, player, player...
It was the PS2's 23rd birthday yesterday and one of it's most memorable games is Gran Turismo 3, the light between those trees is burned into my memory
#PS2
Seen as I have my PC working I thought it was time for some more Sega Rally 2 back from when Sega were the kings of the arcade and this version is so good, now I just need some practice

Blue skies, bright sunshine and power sliding, Outrun 2 is the pinnacle of arcade racing and bloody good fun too. The absolute best arcade racing game? It's certainly at the top table for me
Another gem from Sega's Model 3 arcade in Scud Race. I never played this in the arcade, I'd say it feels like a cross between Daytona and Outrun and it still looks gorgeous today

Sonic All Star Racing Transformed is a love letter to Sega, it also has one of my favourite unlockables in the AGES vehicle, which is part Hornet (Daytona USA), part After Burner and part Dreamcast controller.
What are some of your favourite unlockable characters in games?
Scud Race, a Sega Model 3 game from 1996 that look3d stunning for the time and still looks good today. These days I play it on the Supermodel emulator where it plays great with a wheel and force feedback
Daytona USA was Sega at their absolute best and is playable on modern consoles thanks to Xbox back compat, maybe PS5 in the future? Either way a great and exciting racing game

Wave Race 64 is universally loved and deservedly so but I don't often see much love for it's Nintendo Gamecube sequel Wave Race Blue Storm. Personally I'm a huge fan and loved it's water effects, whether it be the waves here as the tide goes out or the still water of Aspen Lake
I've found yet another way for me to play Outrun and this time it's through the RSPC3 emulator so I also have Virtua Fighter 2 and 5, that great Daytona port and The Simpsons arcade game amongst others
Playing the original Tomb Raider again reminds me of when the kids go stay at the in-laws and you're just left with a nice quiet and tidy house, compared with the clutter and constant chatting in modern games
The Switch N64 controller also works with the Mario 64 PC Port built in this version has the Render 96 level pack for the first few stages and RT lighting/reflections. You can also have extra characters, Mario Odyssey moveset and free camera movement
Would you believe me if I said you could play this in 1996? Sega GT/Scud Race from back when the Arcades were the showcase of what games could be and with Sega very much at the forefront of that technology and still great fun today with a wheel and pedals in the home
One of these difficult game myths I see regularly is Driver on the PS1 with the garage test and how so many apparently never beat it. I've not played it for over 20 years and I didn't look up what I had to do, so this is what happened just 4 minutes after first driving the car
After some struggle here's the PC version of Sega Rally 2 which has all of the content of the Dreamcast version but without the performance issues (though locking that to 30fps smooths it over), this is a great way to play the game and I'd love to see Sega bring this back
ROLLING START!!
Daytona USA (3?), the latest arcade version of the game has the original tracks remade in it and looks and plays great with a wheel.
Yet another I'd love to see an official home port of

Sega Rally Arcade version beaten, including the tough extra Lakeside stage, I thought I'd messed it up on the last corner but somehow managed to squeeze it through

Just had a go of that Wipeout PC port and it's really good, high resolutions and framerates and with some enhancements such as a modern collision detection making it smoother to race.

Any Sonic R fans out there? The controls are a bit slippery but this has a great soundtrack and more of adventure type gameplay. I really enjoy this on the Saturn or the Sonic Gems versions which added weather and time of day. This is the PC version

I downloaded this Sega Rally branded livery (weirdly spelt as Castrol instead) on Forza Horizon 5 and there's clearly a forest here too. So Xbox buying Sega is confirmed
Here's the very first Daytona USA track but running in Daytona 3, check out that Sonic wall, oh and mind the flying cars 😂

OK This is the last one on Sonic Racing Transformed and it's a quick look at some of the Sega themed tracks including Nights, Skies of Arcadia, Golden Axe and Burning Rangers and some characters from those games, plus Shinobi. Hopefully one day Sega will do another
For Streets of Rage fans out there have you played SOR Remake on PC? All the characters and stages across the first 3 games with branching paths and entirely new stages, new move, police specials, unlockables, remixed or original music and of course Adam is playable
Yeah Grandia still looks great on my 4KTV, this with a real Saturn and the Rad2X. Hopefully get the Retrotink 5x next year but this still gives great results. Now time to finally play through it again

Happy Birthday to the original Game Boy and one of the finest consoles ever made. I had one as a kid and even though the screen could barely be seen in most conditions, I loved it. Today I use the Analogue Pocket which replicates the original look and plays original games
Well after some struggle I've got the PC version of Sega Rally 2 working. So it has all the extra content on the Dreamcast version but with great performance, I just need to fix the aspect ratio but it's looking promising. Please
@Sega
bring these back

Cyberpunk 2077 in it's RT overdrive mode looks pretty spectacular but as expected is very demanding. I'm averaging over 60fps at 1440p DLSS Quality and frame generation with a 4070ti, benchmarks below. I love the little details of even litter casting shadows and it looks glorious
So back to 1998 and Sega's Daytona 2 Power Edition which looks and plays amazing and has all kinds of craziness. Sega Model 2 and Model 3 are my favourite eras of arcade gaming for looks and gameplay. Which is your favourite from the og Daytona days to the 2017 game? Poll below
Sega, Arcade, Blue Skies, Perfect Handling and a Toyota Celica, it can only be Sega Rally. An absolute joy to play then and still today. A gem that the Sega Saturn truly did justice and somehow gave us just as much control with a dpad as an analogue stick. I quite like this one
A couple of Sega Rally mods for you to enjoy courtesy of RingsOfSaturn, one which includes the prototype arcade Celica, the other looks to be a couple of playable AI cars and a special unlockable one which is rather fun. There's a few other tweaks and changes and link is below
A few random screens from games I'm planning to play this weekend, I'm thinking of a Sega Model 2 binge. What are your plans for the weekend?

Hey guys thanks for adding me, for anyone who doesn't know me I'm a big retro gaming fan, particularly Sega and this is the retro setup. I've also got the Sinden Lightgun to play some arcade games as intended but on a modern screen.
Sega & All-Stars Racing Transformed is also on Steam and has exclusive dlc of Ryo Hazuki of Shenmue fame. A man so great that whilst racing against Sonic and friends, he's also playing Outrun and Space Harrier at the same time

Mario is not a real game 😂😂😂😂
I mean all of those he mentioned are obviously real games but how can anyone dismiss Mario? You'd have to be a bit thick to say such a thing
Hellslave for the Sega Saturn, a homebrew game from an insanely talented person. A Quake style deathmatch game with incredible lighting and real time reflections, check them out on the shotgun 😲. There's a link to the YouTube video and download below
Your friendly reminder that Crazy Taxi is available cheap on Steam and has fixes available for the controls, original stores such as Pizza Hut and Levi, as well as restoring the original soundtrack.
That's all I want
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Whilst we sadly never got Daytona 2 on Dreamcast, we did get a remake of the original with 2 extra tracks from CCE and a few of it's own. Any fans of this?

With all the talk of the N64, I thought I'd start a thread of some of my favourite N64 games and great ways to play them today. First is the Render 96 PC port of Mario 64 complete with ray tracing and Mario Odyssey move sets
EE didn't hang about, ordered a Series S last night and it was waiting for me when I got home. Now just to install some games and can't wait to play Forza but Daytona will do for now 😉

Great news and this talented individual is behind the Sega Saturn tribute of Burning Rangers in Unity, so I'll be looking forward to seeing what this Dreamcast game will be
I'm excited to share some news with you. I am porting an offically licensed

game to modern consoles 😅
I can't share what it is yet but it should be announced in late summer at

or

🥰
So which of these Sega games are you most looking forward to? Both Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi look amazing and Shinobi reminds me of The Messenger. I'm curious how Golden Axe and Streets of Rage handle the transition to 3D
It feels like the Dreamcast era of Sega is resuming
Back on PSVR2 and I've got to say that Gran Turismo 7 in VR with a wheel is my favourite gaming experience this year. Never could I have imagined playing GT3 on the PS2 that one day I would feel like I'm actually there
