It’s factually untrue that people - en masse - are choosing not to pay council tax. A bubble of people saying so online doesn’t reflect wider society. The same people who suggest not paying tax are the ones also complaining the vital services they fund are failing communities.
BREAKING 🚨: The United Kingdom braces for MAJOR strikes across the nation. Citizens are taking to social platforms to DECLARE they are NOT paying council tax. The British have had enough, citizens are demanding change.

Current Twitter/X is just people making sweeping, unfounded and misinformed statements without any level of fact check, and others reacting to those remarks without trying to work out whether they’re true. It’s this on repeat, and sensible debate disappears into a vacuum.

Power to the people to do your bit in stopping bins from getting collected, potholes from being repaired and adult social care placements from being funded… All to then complain when all of these services, and more, are failing and crumbling. This country baffles me sometimes

‘Independent journalists’ aren’t journalists if they fall foul of Contempt of Court. This is taught on day one of media law. ‘Tommy’ was in contempt after repeating allegations found as false in court, and subject to an order not to be repeated. It’s not for ‘exposing’ anything.
Memo to Tommy Robinson supporters: he is not in prison for ‘exposing’ anything to do with the appalling rape gang scandal (which needs an urgent public inquiry) - but because he ADMITTED contempt of court after repeating his lies about a young Syrian refugee boy.

@relliman1983 Agree with this Rob. It’s one of the many things since this government came in where good messaging and communication would have cleared up quite a lot of public confusion. Their optics on delivering key messaging is poor
