We'd also like to thank our Officers @BertinGabby, Baroness Ruth Lister and Kate Kniveton MP, as well as all of the Group's Members, who have used their positions as Parliamentarians to tackle #DomesticAbuse We look forward to continuing the Group's crucial work in July.

In light of the general election, our upcoming meeting on workplace support for survivors of domestic abuse - which was scheduled for Monday 17th June - will have to be rescheduled. We look forward to hosting the meeting once Parliament is sitting again - stay tuned for updates!

Yesterday the APPG hosted a joint event with @centreWJ and @WIP_live on the unjust criminalisation of survivors. We'd like to thank the survivors who courageously shared their stories with us and @ApsanaBegumMP & @HodgsonFiona for chairing the event. 🔗

APPG Chair @ApsanaBegumMP joined a panel discussion on The Push, a two-part @Channel4 documentary which focuses on the tragic murder of Fawziyah Javed. Part 2 of the documentary will air on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm.

2) The meeting will include a screening of @centreWJ film "Stop Criminalising Survivors", which shows how 5 survivors were criminalised as a result of their experience of domestic abuse. The screening will be followed by an expert panel discussion on what changes are needed.
