The Wandhama massacre, which occurred on January 25, 1998, remains one of the most tragic chapters in the history of the Kashmiri Pandit community. On this fateful day, a group of terrorists stormed the small village of Wandhama in Kashmir and brutally killed 23 Kashmiri Pandit men, women, and children. This attack symbolizes the brutalities faced by Kashmiri Pandits during the insurgency in the 1990s, when thousands were forced to flee their homeland, leaving behind their ancestral homes and livelihood. The Wandhama massacre is a stark reminder of the pain and suffering endured by the community, and serves as a symbol of the challenges we continue to face in the struggle for justice and survival. Today, we remember the Kashmiri Pandit genocide that occurred on January 19, 1990. This day i.e. 19th January is marked as Black Day in our history. On this day, thousands of Kashmiri Pandits were forced to flee their homes in the Kashmir Valley due to violence & persecution.

@Pint_Sopori @DrAgnishekhar Accomodation provided to Migrant employees lacks quality & the condition of the building seems to be serious. PM Package is under Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP) & buildings must have been developed as per specifications.

We are thankful to @manojsinha_ ji & @OfficeOfLGJandK for including PM Package employees into J&K Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme. We are also optimistic about reviewing G.O no. 34 JK DMRRR at an earliest so that justice be provided as per the policy which was already in place.

We are hopeful that the issues forwarded to the high chairs will be sorted before Code of Conduct gets implemented in J&K. G.O no 34 JK DMRRR needs a kind intervention & urgent redressal as it hampers the career progression of PM Package employees at par with regular employee
