Happy Christmas from District 10! My team & I wish you & your family a wonderful holiday season. We celebrate a mix of holidays in our office, which reflects the cultural diversity of our district – but we celebrate together.

Our last City Council Work Session was capped by a reception & some commemorative gifts, including personalized street signs. I can’t wait to see where it will fit in my house!

@austinanimals is having a special adoption event this Friday, December 20. Perhaps your family is ready for a furry friend, just in time for the holidays? Adoption fees are waived while the Animal Center is over capacity for both dogs & cats.

I've served on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) since my first year in office & I'm grateful for their warm sendoff at our last meeting. CAMPO afforded me the opportunity to work collaboratively on mobility & I learned a lot from these amazing leaders!

Last week I had the honor of presenting a Distinguished Service Award to Charles Curry, who I have had the privilege of working for the last 8 years. He has a long history of community involvement, working with and for the City, & has recently served on four committees!

It's starting to feel real! I led my last Audit & Finance Committee Meeting, a committee that I have chaired for the last 6 years. I have been able to dive into my passion for governance & oversight thanks to the collective efforts of my fellow board members & city staff.

Last week, my office hosted our annual – and final – appreciation event for our Boards & Commissions appointees. It was wonderful to catch up with everyone & I was pleased to present certificates of recognition in an offering of thanks for their talents, time & hard work!

Today is the last day of early voting in the runoff! If you don't make it, you can still vote on Dec 14. The Austin ISD Board of Trustees at-large Position 8 is up for election. Our friends in District 7 are also voting for their new Council Member. Info:
