I've been a blockchain developer since cpu mining BTC was viable and hands down developing for the IC as been the most enjoyable experience out of any other chain.

Hey folks!. Building on the #InternetComputer can be a solo endeavor, and it certainly comes with its challenges. Setting up a proper CI/CD pipeline shouldn't be one of them. To make things easier, I've created a boilerplate/example repository to help streamline your development.

A downside of being an active developer in the IC community is that I totally miss some great NFT drops. I'm neck deep in code and when I come up for air the sale is already over.

The price of a coin means less to me than most. I'd rather make wealth from the tools I create with a blockchain. I want the gun powder. Others just want fireworks.
Coinmarketcap's decision to exclude Korean prices from the displayed XRP price made the price appear to drop, likely triggering some panic selling. Look closely at the data and don't be mislead.

NFTs on ETH is like basketball in the 1950s yes it existed but it wasn't that great, it was slow, nobody could dunk, you were not allowed to palm the ball and the average joe didn't know how it all worked. NFTs on the IC is basically the showtime lakers.

Anyone can identify an opportunity and say "I could do that" or "that would be so easy", but ideas must go through a period of "execution" which kills the original idea and the real idea is born.

@dfinity After the ETH integration a Filecoin integration would be awesome. Storing and streaming large media files on the IC is like playing basketball when you're short. You can be good but the 7ft guy is prob better.

Hosting frontends on the IC is easy if you are doing basic web dev but if you are doing anything outside of that its damn near impossible. @dfinity make it easy to deploy web apps built with flutter, until then I'm going to host the landing page for FaeFolk on Digital Ocean.

💯 I’m building out a Twitter bot that will allow YC token holders to vote on @CigDao_ proposals.
The SNS is not the only decentralization platform in $ICP, we have @CigDao_ and others so let's help them to develop fully to handle projects that can't make it to the SNS because it's not every project that should go to the SNS, only Alpha projects with product & services👌.

What we need are creative builders that aren't just copying and pasting ideas from ETH. What works on ETH won't work on the IC because of the size difference in $ and community. Unfortunately creativity is hard to find because most people are bag chasers instead of builders.

I wish @dfinity would push community projects like @can_scale and @CycleOps like they push ckBTC or ckETH. I have used @can_scale for almost all my projects but I've never used ckBTC. I would love to see both of these get funded by the sns or dfinity directly.
