I disagree, that scene where Peter admits that he was at fault for Ben’s death showed a very flawed and human side of her. She still gets criticism to this day for it. Fields Aunt May just felt like a plot device.

Theyre very timeless, they had a retro/nostalgic feel even when they released back in 2002. That was the feel that Raimi was going for. The only one that feels modern is Spider-Man 3, it could release today and no one would bat an eye.
