AG’s Max Parker found me after the team celebration and gave me a big hug. Max- that meant much to this old broadcaster. This kid’s my hero and his 6- count ‘em - 6! blocked shots went a long way to helping AG secure the win today. Gonna miss this kid’s pure love of the game.

Ever wonder what it would have been like to watch Picasso paint a portrait? I got a front row seat to the hoops equivalent to that as Jacobsen was masterful- 13-17 from the field, 3-3 from 3, 14-14 from the line. Broke CJ Cowgill’s record of 41 set in 96.

It was Senior Night so I caught up with Seniors @calejacobsen_ and @EvanShepard6 after the Bluejay win. I just really enjoyed this moment. When Evan talked about moving here 2 yrs ago and how well he was accepted, Cale weighed in on the character of Evan and his family.

Next time I say I’m too busy for something, I need to remember this. Not only is our head football coach leading our team to a 10-0 record, #4 ranking and the Quarterfinals of State, but he ran 13.1 miles today in the half marathon in Lincoln. Just a little driven I would say.

AG boys hoops team beat the #4 ranked team in Class B and lost to the #1 ranked team In B in OT. The Bluejays beat #2, 3, 4, 5 (twice), & #8 rated teams in Class C1. What a year. Logan View Coach Jake Scheef told me during the tourney this might be best team in C1 in 10 years.
