Esports has been announced as an offical medal sport 🏅for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. The announcement was made during the 42nd Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly held in Bangkok, Thailand on 8 July 2023.
It went down to the wire as KOR Kim G. and TPE Hsiang Y. L. went all seven rounds to decide who wins the 🥇 in the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Finals 🥊

Team China and Team Malaysia battled it out during the Arena of Valor Asian Games Version finals for Gold and Silver, while Thailand took the Bronze with a win over Vietnam.
The Olympic Council of Asia and Asian Electronic Sports Federation announced details of the esports programme for the 18th Asian Games 2018 to be held in Jakarta and Palembang this August. Six games were selected.

Esports has been proposed as an official medal sport 🏅at the 2025 Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia!
📢📢 The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 have a new date!
The highly-anticipated event will now be held in Hangzhou from 23rd September to 8th October in 2023.
In light of this annoucement, AESF be will releasing further details about the RDAG Regionals in due course.

We regret to announce that Hearthstone will no longer be part of the Esports program at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
On the 16th of March, the OCA confirmed the removal of Hearthstone during the fifth Coordination Committee meeting.
