I highly recommend these apps to read news about Tech and Science, they are mostly free and have good UI design:

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN We’re only mad at Infold for their choice of words on the global platform. Just wanted to clarify this. You don’t need to reply since we’re supposed to stop talking about this.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN When I said LNY is not owned by China, what I meant was that I don’t want our Tết to be mistaken for CNY, and I hope VNY will be recognized as LNY globally. I have no intention of claiming the Spring Festival as our own, so don’t worry about your culture being dismissed.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN Wait, I don’t want to drag this on, but I realized there’s a big misunderstanding. Vietnamese people celebrate Tết, which translates to VNY, while Chinese people celebrate the Spring Festival, which translates to CNY. Both are different but can be collectively referred to as LNY

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN Agree, let’s end here. I think the Chinese embassy agrees on the term ‘LNY’ for global use as well. This will be my final reply. I’m glad we were able to have a peaceful discussion

@AllergicToIdi0t @ulatroimotqua @amanian0302 @Love_Deepspace Infold released a global game version, target global customers, and have equal charges for all players. We’re their paying customers and have the right to oppose their post on the global platform for not using the global term ‘LNY’.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN Please re-read my previous comment. You don’t have to change your beliefs, but Infold released a global game version, have equal charges for all players. I am one of their paying customers and. I can oppose their post on the global platform for not using the global term ‘LNY’.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN Since our fundamental ways of thinking are already different, there is no need to argue. Our people will fight to keep the true identity of LNY. You have the right to keep your opinion, and so do I.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN In the end, it’s because you think LNY belongs to China and that you are sharing the holiday. That is not true. There is no historical proof of which country actually started LNY. Just because it is shared locally does not mean it originated from China.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN It’s still better than letting Westerners misunderstand LNY as only CNY. Do you have a better suggestion besides calling it CNY on global platform? I see nothing wrong with the term LNY, as do many other non-Chinese nationalities.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN This is not a you vs. me, or Chinese vs. Vietnamese vs. Korean or CNY vs. LNY issue. This is a company vs. global customers issue.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN Third, the company Infold charges all the same amount of money regardless of their nationality. By not using the term ‘LNY’ on their global platform, they are intentionally being ignorant and disrespectful to their customers.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN Second, the word ‘Lunar’ is neutral. If we replace it with ‘Chinese,’ ‘Vietnamese,’ or ‘Korean,’ it would imply the wrong meaning in a global setting. There is nothing wrong with a Chinese person who use the term ‘CNY’ or a Viet person who use ‘VNY’ in a community setting.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN First, LNY is a legitimate name, just like Christmas and Valentine’s Day. There is no proof that the term ‘CNY’ appeared before ‘LNY,’ so calling the New Year that is celebrated based on the lunisolar calendar ‘LNY’ is the correct term. This is not a case of name change.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN What would you feel if a Vietnamese company went on Weibo and only said ‘Happy Vietnamese New Year’ while the Spring Festival was happening at the same time? That would be rude, right? And you would be annoyed. This is exactly what Infold is doing.

@cenmo159289 @NgocO90502 @Db5zS @InfinityNikkiEN The inclusion of CNY in the World Heritage list does not mean that all festivals celebrated during LNY should be renamed to CNY. Other countries that observe different versions of LNY can also nominate their own holidays in the future. LNY remains the correct term for global use.
