Don’t underestimate the power of moving water. 6 inches is enough to carry away an adult and it only takes 12 inches to sweep away a small sedan. Even trucks don’t stand a chance with 18-24 inches of fast-moving water. Don’t risk it, just turn around.

With heavy rain and flooding expected, remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown! More than half of all flood-related deaths are drownings that result from vehicles caught in flood waters. Obey road closure signs and never attempt to drive through flooded areas.
