The Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Dr Chris Baryomunsi, has strongly condemned land grabbing in Hoima District, directing the Resident District Commissioner and security team to arrest individuals involved in illegal land evictions. This move comes after a surge in complaints from local leaders and residents about rising cases of land grabbing, particularly in sub-counties like Kisukuma, Kapaapi, and Kabaale. #CroozeFMNews #Mbarara

Police in Mbarara has this morning used tear gas to disperse medical and surgery students from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) who were protesting against a new recess policy. The students argue that the policy was introduced without consultation and is financially burdensome. It requires first-year students to study one course unit over a ten-week recess while paying UGX 800,000, half of the tuition fee, instead of completing all course units within two semesters as before. 📷 Aggrey Twesigye #CroozeFMNews #Mbarara

The Bishop of Ankole Diocese and Chancellor of Bishop Stuart University, Rt. Rev. Dr. Sheldon Mwesigwa, has issued a stern warning to university students against engaging in sports betting, cautioning that it leads to the misuse of hard-earned tuition fees. Speaking on sunday at the official opening of Bishop Stuart University Mission Week, held under the theme "Sowing Goodness to Reap Goodness," Bishop Mwesigwa expressed deep concern over the increasing number of students dropping out due to financial mismanagement. #CroozeFMNews #Mbarara

STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART; My boss and I are interested in the same woman. I've been talking to this lady for two weeks, I've taken her on dates but she has not yet agreed to be my girlfriend. My boss on the other hand started showing interest in her at the beginning of the year when she joined the company (I heard this from a workmate). This workmate also told me that the lady doesn't seem to be interested in our boss. I really want this woman but now that I know my boss is also interested, I don't know how to handle the situation. Advise, Deus

Police are searching for two teachers from Standard College, Rwashamaire, who were caught on video torturing a Senior Two student, Blair Akampa (16), for allegedly sneaking out to buy food. The suspects, Anneb Mwesigye (Director of Studies) and Naboth Twesigye, were recorded harshly punishing the boy on February 5, 2025. Maureen Atuhaire, Commissioner of the Child and Family Protection Department, confirmed that a case of torture has been opened at Ntungamo Central Police Station. She condemned the act, reminding the public that corporal punishment is illegal under the Children Act (Amended), 2016. #CroozeFMNews #Mbarara
